How to Check the HPE Data Protector Version

HPE Data Protector is software which is being used for the backups of the data on tape or disk. Through HPE Data Protector you can take the RMAN backup of the database, File System backup, Internal Database backup, Virtual Environment backup etc.

Check the HPE Data Protector Version

You can easily check the version of HPE Data Protector installed on Cell Manager and clients by using the steps given below.

Check the HPE Data Protector Version on Windows

  • Run the command prompt as administrator

    Run CMD as Administrator

    Run CMD as Administrator

  • Type the below command and press enter to see the version of the data protector
    C:\Windows\system32>omnicc -version
    HPE Data Protector A.09.09: OMNICC, internal build 115, built on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 1:46 AM
    

Check the HPE Data Protector Version on Linux

  • Use the below command to see the version of HPE Data Protector installed on Linux systems
    [root@dpclient ~]# /opt/omni/bin/omnicc -version
    HPE Data Protector A.09.09: OMNICC, internal build 115, built on Wed 24 May 2017 08:44:20 PM IST
