How to Check Patch Level of a HPE Data Protector Cell Manager

Before applying any patch to HPE Data Protector Cell Manager, we need to check the current patch level of the Data Protector Cell Manager. Sometimes HPE support system also asks for the current level of patches installed on the Data Protector Cell Manager as well as on clients.

List all installed patches on HPE DP Cell Manager

Run the below command on the system where you have installed the HPE Data Protector (DP) Cell Manager (CM) to list all the patches installed on Cell Manager. In this case, CM was installed on a Windows Server 2008 machine.

  • Run the command prompt as administrator

    Run CMD as Administrator

    Run CMD as Administrator

  • Type the below command to check the patches installed on the Cell Manager
    C:\Windows\system32>omnicheck -patches
    Patch level         Patch description
    ===========================================
    DPWIN_20234 (A.09.09_115) Core Component
    DPWIN_20234 (A.09.09_115) Core of Integrations component
    DPWIN_20235 (A.09.09_115) Cell Manager Component

Note: I performed the above commands on Windows server 2008 for HPE Data Protector A.09.08
