HP 3PAR Storage System: How to generate and collect InSplore Logs

To generate and collect the InSplore Logs from an HP 3PAR Storage System, follow the below steps: 

How to generate InSplore Logs

  • Open the Internet Browser and type the IP address of the HP 3PAR Service Processor. Log in to HP 3PAR Service Processor Onsite Consumer Care (SPOCC) by using the credentials. Default SPOCC username and password are 3parcust and 3parInServ.
  • Click on Support available in left navigation and then click on StoreServ Product Maintenance

  • Click on Retrieve InSplore Data to generate the InSplore log

  • It will take some time to generate the report, report generation will be completed when you will get the message ‘InSplore must have completed’

How to collect InSplore Logs

  • Click on Files available in the left navigation and a directory will be listed, go to the inside files folder
    Collect the InSplore Log 01
  • There will be a folder with numeric name, go to inside that folder
    Collect the InSplore Log 02
  • Now go to inside insplore folder
    Collect the InSplore Log 03
  • Now you can see the log file that you have generated, click on the download button to download the same

  • Click on the Download File button and select the location to save the log file.

Note: These steps were performed on HP 3PAR F200 & HP 3PAR 7400 Storage Servers to collect the InSplore Logs.
